DPlanner Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
The Short Version
DPlanner does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Everything stays on your device. Period.
1. Introduction
ENVO Studios ("we", "us", "our") built DPlanner as a free application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use DPlanner.
DPlanner is built with privacy as a foundational principle. We believe your personal productivity data belongs to you and only you. DPlanner is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy — we do not collect, transmit, or monetize any of your data.
2. Data Collection
We do not collect any data. DPlanner is a 100% local-first application.
| Data Type | Collected? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Personal Information | No | We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal details |
| Usage Analytics | No | We don't track how you use the app |
| Crash Reports | No | We don't collect crash data |
| Location Data | No | Location is used only for task location tagging, processed entirely on-device |
| Health Data | No | Wellness entries are stored locally, never transmitted |
| Voice Data | No | Voice input is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework, never sent to external servers |
| Advertising | No | There are no ads in DPlanner |
| Third-Party SDKs | None | DPlanner uses zero third-party libraries or SDKs |
In the App Store, DPlanner declares "Data Not Collected" under Apple's App Privacy labels because it is true — we collect nothing.
3. Data Storage
All data you create in DPlanner — including tasks, events, projects, habits, goals, wellness records, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- On-device only: Your data is stored in a local database on your iPhone or iPad
- Encrypted at rest: Your data is protected by iOS file protection (
NSFileProtectionCompleteUntilFirstUserAuthentication) - No server communication: DPlanner does not connect to any external servers
- No cloud backup by default: iCloud sync is planned for a future update and will be opt-in
4. Sign in with Apple
DPlanner offers an optional Sign in with Apple feature for profile personalization only (displaying your name). If you choose to sign in:
- We receive only your name (or a nickname you choose) from Apple
- We do not receive your email address
- Your Apple ID is not stored or transmitted
- This information is stored locally on your device only
- You can use DPlanner fully without signing in
5. Biometric Authentication
DPlanner offers optional Face ID / Touch ID lock to protect your data. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS — DPlanner never accesses or stores your biometric information.
6. Notifications
DPlanner uses local notifications to remind you about tasks, events, and habits. These notifications are scheduled on-device and do not involve any external push notification servers. Notification content is privacy-protected on the lock screen.
7. Widgets
DPlanner's widgets display your task and habit data on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. This data is shared between the main app and the widget extension via a secure App Group container on your device. Widget data is redacted (hidden) on the Lock Screen when your device is locked.
8. iCloud Sync
When enabled in a future update, DPlanner will use Apple's CloudKit framework to sync your data across your Apple devices. This means:
- Your data syncs within your own personal iCloud account
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- ENVO Studios cannot access, read, or decrypt your synced data
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app's settings
9. Third-Party Services
DPlanner uses zero third-party libraries, SDKs, or services.
The app is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks:
No data is ever shared with third parties because no third-party code exists in the app.
10. Permissions
DPlanner may request the following device permissions. All permissions are optional and requested only when you use a specific feature:
Camera
Used for photo attachments on tasks and events. Activated only when you choose to take a photo.
Microphone
Used for Voice Quick Add input. Activated only when you tap the microphone button. All speech recognition is performed on-device.
Location
Used for attaching locations to tasks and events. Activated only when you choose to add a location. Processed entirely on-device.
Notifications
Used for task reminders and event alerts. Scheduled locally on-device. Notification content is privacy-protected on the lock screen.
11. Data Export & Deletion
Export
You can export all your data as a JSON file at any time by navigating to Settings > Export Data. The exported file is protected with complete file encryption and is yours to keep, back up, or transfer as you see fit.
Delete
You can permanently delete all data from within the app by navigating to Settings > Delete All Data. This removes all tasks, events, habits, routines, goals, projects, and any other data from your device. This action is irreversible.
Uninstall
Removing DPlanner from your device permanently deletes all associated data.
12. Children's Privacy
DPlanner does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and does not contain any objectionable content. Because DPlanner does not collect any personal data whatsoever, it is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of DPlanner after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
